After the success of the international exhibition of figurative painting Kitsch Biennale di Venezia 2010, Inland hosts in their own space David Dalla Venezia, who was curator of the organization Norwegian World Wide Kitsch.
Kitsch as res ultato experience and reflection of the Norwegian painter Odd Nerdrum, emerge in the '90s as anachronistic movement of figuration that is linked directly to the great tradition of classical, Renaissance and Baroque art, and provides an alternative to modern and contemporary art.
David Dalla Venezia, as the title of this exhibition indicates, therefore proposed a set of works that illustrate his move on a watershed between compelling influences of modernity and postmodernity and the continuity of the origins of great painting, avoiding by the end of trial in itself, the novelty at all costs and impulsive act of contemporary art.
Painter refined taste, true to a rigorous style that echoes Renaissance Italic breaths, David Dalla Venezia, away from the fashions of the moment, the search resumed painting as "archetype", where the composition has a specific intention to represent the face of narrative ' existence, the drama, pathos and eros.
His characters reveal attitudes full of passions in silent pictures full of power that seem drawn from the frenzy of everyday life: a man in front of his library, a girl unbuttoning his shirt, a harlequin who split up from the bed his mistress, common objects floating in a primordial chaos.
